Product Safety Information - Miniature Scenes
1. Age recommendation
Our miniature scenes are suitable for ages 14 and up. Not suitable for children under 3 due to very small parts – choking hazard.
2. Material safety
The miniatures are made from various materials: plastic (ABS/PVC), wood, fabric, paper, metal, and LED lighting (if available). All materials comply with European safety standards EN71 and REACH. Glue and paint (if included) are non-toxic and water-based.
3. Warnings
- Very small parts: Contains miniature parts just a few millimeters in size. A serious choking hazard for children under 3 years.
- Sharp objects: Some kits include tweezers, a knife, or scissors for precision work. Risk of cuts or punctures.
- Glue Use: Superglue or wood glue required. May irritate skin and eyes. Keep out of reach of children.
- LED light: Contains batteries (button cells) - danger of choking and poisoning if swallowed.
- Supervision required: Young people aged 10-14 must work under the direct supervision of an adult.
- Fine motor skills: Requires precision work - not suitable for limited hand function.
4. Instructions for use
Work on a well-lit, clean, and flat surface. Use tweezers for very small parts. Follow the step-by-step instructions carefully. When using glue: work in a ventilated area, apply thinly, and avoid contact with skin. Allow parts to dry completely before continuing. Take regular breaks to prevent eye strain.
5. Required resources (if not included)
- Tweezers (fine, curved and straight)
- Super glue and/or wood glue (non-toxic)
- Scissors or hobby knife
- Toothpicks (for applying glue)
- LED lighting and batteries (if applicable)
- Magnifying glass or magnifying lamp (recommended)
- Protective layer for work surface
6. Electrical safety (LED lighting)
If the set contains LED lighting:
- Use only the recommended batteries (usually CR2032 button cells or AA/AAA)
- Keep batteries out of reach of children - danger of poisoning if swallowed
- Replace empty batteries immediately and dispose of them at KCA
- Rule out short circuit - check wiring
- Do not leave LEDs unattended
- Use low voltage (max 3-12V DC)
7. Allergens
Some materials may cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals: glue (cyanoacrylate), wood dust, and textile fibers. If you are sensitive, we recommend wearing gloves and working in a well-ventilated area.
8. Storage & Shelf Life
Store parts in their original packaging or sorting trays in a dry place at room temperature. Protect from direct sunlight, moisture, and dust. Glue and paint have a limited shelf life – check the expiration date. Ideally, store finished miniatures under a bell jar or in a display case.
9. Maintenance completed scene
Dust gently with a soft brush or compressed air at low pressure. Do not wet. Store away from direct sunlight to prevent discoloration. Store preferably under a glass dome or in a display case. Check LED wiring and batteries periodically. Not suitable for intensive handling – decorative object.
10. Disposal
Plastic parts with plastic waste. Wooden parts with wood waste. Textiles with textile recycling. Metal parts with metal recycling. Batteries with KCA (small chemical waste). LEDs and electronics with e-waste. Cardboard packaging with paper/cardboard. Residual adhesive (hardened) with residual waste.
11. Conformity
Our miniature scenes comply with European consumer product regulations, including EN71 (Toy Directive), REACH, RoHS (Electronics), and Battery Directive. Tested by independent laboratories.
12. Safety tips

- Keep sharp tools (knife, scissors) out of reach of children.
- Check batteries regularly for leakage
- Take breaks to prevent eye and hand fatigue
- Keep pets away - small parts are dangerous
- Count parts after each building session
- Work calmly and with concentration - haste leads to mistakes and danger
