Product Safety Information - Wood Art Sets
1. Age recommendation
Our Wood Art sets are suitable for ages 8 and up. Not suitable for children under 3 due to small parts and possible splinters.
2. Material safety
All wooden components are made of natural wood or FSC-certified wood/MDF. The material is either untreated or treated with a non-toxic, water-based varnish that meets EN71 standards. Glue (if included) is non-toxic and complies with European safety standards.
3. Warnings
- Splinter Hazard: Natural wood can splinter. Check components before use and sand rough edges if necessary.
- Choking Hazard: Contains small parts. Not suitable for children under 3 years.
- Supervision required: Children aged 3-8 must work under adult supervision.
- Glue use: When using glue: ventilate well and avoid skin contact.
- Wood dust: Sanding may generate wood dust – work in a ventilated area.
4. Instructions for use
Check all wooden parts for splinters before use. Follow the included instructions step by step. Work on a clean, flat surface. If using glue, apply thinly and let dry thoroughly according to the instructions. Wash your hands after use, especially when using glue.
5. Required resources (if not included)
- Wood glue (non-toxic)
- Sandpaper (fine, for smoothing)
- Protective layer for work surface
- Damp cloth for cleaning up
6. Allergens
Natural wood can, in rare cases, cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. The varnish and glue used are non-toxic and contain no known allergens. If you are sensitive to wood dust, we recommend wearing gloves and a face mask.
7. Storage & Shelf Life
Store the set in a dry place at room temperature. Wood can shrink or expand in extreme humidity or temperature fluctuations. Protect from direct sunlight to prevent discoloration. When stored correctly, it has an unlimited shelf life.
8. Maintenance of completed artwork
Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Do not wet the wood unless it is varnished. Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent discoloration. For unvarnished wood, a protective layer of varnish can be applied for durability.
9. Disposal
Wooden parts should be disposed of with wood waste or residual waste. Residual adhesive (hardened) should be disposed of with residual waste. Cardboard packaging should be disposed of with paper/cardboard recycling. Plastic packaging should be disposed of with plastic waste. Paper instructions should be disposed of with waste paper.
10. Conformity
Our Wood Art sets comply with European consumer product regulations, including EN71 (Toy Directive) and REACH. Where possible, the wood is FSC-certified (sustainable forest management).
